In My Mailbox #33

In My Mailbox is a great meme from The Story Siren.  If you'd like to take part, visit The Story Siren's IMM page for further details.

Before I launch into this weeks books, can I ask my UK readers if any of you had Abandon by Meg Cabot on order on Amazon.co.uk?  Have you received an email this week saying that their supplier has informed them that this is no longer available and your order has been cancelled?  Do you know what's going on and if this book is no longer going to be released in the UK?

Ok, so on to my this weeks books ...

Hourglass by Myra McEntire
Shift by Jeri Smith-Ready
Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma

The Bleeders by Michaela Haze (Kindle Edition)
Red Glove by Holly Black
The Passage by Justin Cronin (Kindle Edition)

And that was my awesome mailbox this week.  What did you get in yours?

Ooh, lovely books! I can't wait to read Hourglass. And although I've heard mixed reviews about Imaginary Girls, I can't wait to read that either. Thanks for sharing!

Ooo, Shift is one I really want to get my hands on! And I really, really want to know if Red Glove is as good as White Cat!

I heard that Abandon isn't out over here until 2012.

Sometimes when releases are US only Amazon don't stock them in large number. It's happened to me before with US only releases, but they've eventually restocked.

I think that since I'm a fellow Brit, you should send me Houglass, as I have intense rays of jealousy radiating from my body right now...

Hourglass, Imaginary Girls and Shift??? I am really jealous right now! I've also been rather curious about The Passage! I've seen that it is a rather large book, but it sounds very interesting and I would love to read it sometime soon!

Happy reading!

Maybe Amazon just doesn't have it anymore and doesn't plan on buying more. The Book Depository has it.

Hope you get you hands on Abandon and enjoy all your books :-D

Red Glove!! I love that book! It's awesome! I hope you enjoy all of these!

I also hope you figure out what's up about the Abandon book... that sounds weird!

Awesome books! I desperately want to read Hourglass, Shift and Imaginary Girls. I might just have to cave and order them all on Amazon.

Oh wow, Hourglass - I actually might break my rule of not buying hardbacks for this one :)
And Yay for Red Glove!
The cover for The Bleeders looks interesting, will check it out later :)

I usually order through amazon.co.uk and they cancelled my Insatiable by Mag Cabot last week. I know it's a different title but I guess it's the same deal. Just go to your local bookstore and order it there :) amazon is known for it's random hick-ups :P

Anyway, here is my IMM: http://tinyurl.com/674m37d

Yes - I've been trying to find out about Abandon - I went into Waterstones and asked what was going on as everywhere had release date as May but still said pre-order on the websites. According to them it's now being released in October - but who knows whether it will be held back again or not.

Its really frustrating because its been out in America for a long time now. I don't understand why her books are being released almost a year later over here :(

Looks like you got some great books this week! Im jealous! Especially of Hourglass and Imaginary Girls. Happy fun reading!

Ooh, jealous, so many great books! Hourglass looks brilliant, and I'm dying to read Red Glove, I just haven't been able to get a copy yet :/. As for the Amazon thing, I don't know exactly what's going on, but you can still buy the hardcover version of Abandon on The Book Depository, if that's any help :). Let me know if you find out what's happening!

Aw, sorry to hear that about Abandon. Hopefully they get that sorted out soon. At least you have a bunch of good books to hold you over! That cover for Red Glove is creepy!
